Gravity: A Review

Gravity has been running in production since the beginning of the universe with effectively no downtime, which is more than I can say for any cloud provider. The SLA is flawless. You drop something, it goes down. Every single time. That kind of consistency is genuinely rare and I respect it.

Documentation is poor. Nobody fully understands how it works at the lowest level, the spec has been under revision for a century, and the people maintaining it keep arguing with the people maintaining quantum mechanics. Despite this, the feature ships and ships reliably, which is the only metric that has ever truly mattered.

Onboarding is rough — I learned about it personally, off a countertop, at age two. There is no undo. There is no staging environment; everything is production. And yet I cannot give it fewer than five stars, because the one time it briefly felt absent on a roller coaster, I wanted it back immediately. Essential infrastructure. Do not deprecate.
