An Open Letter to Chaya Raichik

Ms. Raichik,

From behind an account, you aim a very large audience at hospitals, teachers, libraries, and clinics you disapprove of, and then describe whatever follows as none of your doing. I have run systems at scale, so I recognize what you have built: a targeting layer. You supply the coordinates and let the crowd supply the rest.

Institutions you have named have received threats. People you have spotlighted have had to think about their physical safety. You will say you only repost what was already public. The accelerant says much the same thing about the match.

I am not frightened of your account, but I am clear-eyed about it. Amplification is a choice, and pointing it at named people is an act, not merely a post. History tends to remember who aimed the crowd, not only who answered the call.
